Personal Information You Voluntarily Submit to Us

We collect certain personal information, including your name, username or display name, your email address, your company name, your phone number, your address, job application information, usernames and passwords of your website, media host(s), and/or social media accounts, your credit or debit card transaction information such as personal account number, location, the date and amount of your transaction, payment information, etc. when you voluntarily submit this information to us. You may voluntarily provide this information when you purchase a service or product, submit a contact form, create an account, release information to us about where to publish your podcast episodes, or fill out the new client questionnaire.

We collect certain information from you when you use our website or purchase our products and services.   2. Woocommerce & WordPress | We use Woocommerce in conjuction with WordPress to process all orders that come through the Summit Podcasting website. Therefore, it may be necessary to share some of your information, including your name, address, credit or debit card number, etc., with Woocommerce and WordPress. Law Enforcement

If legally required to and in accordance with law, we may disclose your information with law enforcement or the courts in order to comply with a subpoena, a court order, a judicial ruling, or a legal process.

 

How long do you retain the data?

In short, we retain your data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected (as noted above) unless required by law to retain it for longer. Once the data has fulfilled its purpose(s), we will either permanently delete it or anonymize it. If we are not able to anonymize your information (such as if it is being stored in a backup), we will store it securely until it is able to be deleted or overwritten.

 

Retention of Podcast Files
Beginning May 1, 2022, we may only retain materials that you submit to us or that we create for you for 180 days from the date the materials were submitted to us by you or from the date we submitted materials to you. These materials include, but are not limited to, raw audio files, artwork, cover art, graphics, intros and outros, music, fully edited audio files, show notes, transcription, audiograms, SEO images, etc. 
 
If you would like to keep these materials for your records, please make a request to us for these materials and/or download any materials you’d like to keep BEFORE this retention period (180 days) runs out. Once the retention period is over, we may no longer be able to give you these materials as we may no longer have them.
 
 
Basecamp Account
To cut down on the cost of storage space, starting May 1, 2022, we will begin closing all inactive Basecamp accounts as they become inactive or if they are currently inactive. An inactive Basecamp account is any client using a Basecamp account who has had no purchase of either our BASIC, BASIC PLUS, PRO, or PRO PLUS service within 90 days.
 
If your Basecamp account is closed, we will no longer have access to any materials you submitted to us. We will, however, keep any materials we created for you, such as fully edited audio files, show notes, transcription, audiograms, SEO images, etc. for the 180 day retention period mentioned above. If you decide to purchase one of our services in the future, we can easily set up a new Basecamp account for you.

 

What rights do I have over my information?

You have certain rights when it comes to your personal information. Listed below are some of the ways in which you have control over your information and the information we are allowed to collect and keep.

  • ACCESS | We are able to provide you with a file of the personal information we have about you. If you would like a copy of this information, please email us at info@summitpodcasting.com.
  • DELETION | Unless otherwise instructed by law or law enforcement, we can delete some of your personal information upon request. If you would like your personal information deleted, please send us an email at info@summitpodcasting.com to discuss further.
  • AMEND | If you would like to amend any of the personal information we have for you, please send us an email at info@summitpodcasting.com.
